EBI is committed to helping other professionals learn how to use nature and wilderness in a healing way.  Our approach is informed by ecopsychology, eco-therapy, gestalt psychology and earth-based philosophies. Most of our courses are approved for undergraduate, graduate and continuing education credits through Western State College and are offered in collaboration with other organizations.

What we offer:

  1. A 10-day Wilderness Leadership Course that is perfect for individuals needing to get both extensive back-country experience and the leadership skills to confidently guide others into the wilderness.

  2. A training in the Therapeutic Applications of Nature and Wilderness that is directed towards educators and therapists who are interested in deepening their own connection to nature and learning how to bring the therapeutic qualities of nature into their work with others.

  3. A long-term Wilderness Guides Mentorship program that is perfect for individuals who are looking to deepen their effectiveness in using nature therapeutically.

  4. A 5-day Essential Survival Skills course that teaches basic wilderness survivals skills that are ideal for guides, educators and outdoor enthusiasts.
